It hasn't been removed. You do need to have recent games in a format to have anything show in the respective area.
Sometimes that value doesn't update correctly, though I'm not 100% sure that still happens.

Playing chess.com through Facebook I noticed that they used to have a feature showing where your player's ranking was relative to the field. So for example, say you were a 1350 rating. It would say that 1350 was 356,000 out of 600,000 players. Now it is n/a. Was the feature eliminated?
