Tata Steel Masters 2016 offered a prize $10,000 for the winner and it was a mere otb tournament.
Correspondence online chess is more challenging, therefore $10 is nothing special.

Ohh, well luckily that was for free!:-) It was fun to take part but I dont like it when they advertise their tournaments implying that there will be "special prices" when they dont even in the end acknowledge who finished 1-3 and then when I ask them they dont even know what tournamnet I was in and finally when they have thought it over answer me that I can get 10 USD....and they still consider this a special price.....whaooooow.......
If you found $10 laying on the ground, would you pick it up, or just walk past it since "its just $10"
I would put it in the lost and found so the rightful owner can take it back.
Yep, Postafi thats correct! Evidently after having this thread and a private discussion with Chess University I realise that "Special price" can mean so many things to different people, and yes Schackarias I also thought it was fun to play, however my opinion about "special" is different from yours! I respect everyone´s opinion on the matter and I hope u can respect my opinion too!
For everyones info me and Chess University guys have ended our discussion and I Think we both made some Points to be considered and as I wrote to them "without disagreement no progress" being in total agreement in my opinion only leads to decline and maybe a stalemate in the end....not much fun in that.....
Be well all you chesser´s and have a wonderful summer!
