I would like a submit button in live chess.

Erik and Staff, forgive me if this has already been mentioned ,but it would be great if a 'Submit Move' button could be added to live chess. However, some people might not want the button, so it could be enabled/disabled in our live chess settings. I mention this merely because a persons hand could easily slip off of their mouse as they were making a move, causing no end of frustration at the 'blunder'. thank you.

Gerik - In live chess, or in the trainer, instead of dragging the piece to the square you want to move to, first click the piece once, then click the target square. I find this is less error prone, although a little slower sometimes. However if you are prepared to use a Submit Move button then I don't think that will be an issue.

thank you for the tip. I will keep this in mind next time i play. Now why couldn't i have thought of that?

I would like to see a clock at the side of my opponent's flag, so we now what time it is in each country.

that would actually be pretty cool

Heh! Nice idea, Thirded. Would save having that "What time is it there?" chat. Although in my case, it would just prompt more "Why are you awake at this hour?" chat...

Greeter games should go to the top of your games list, so that you spot new ones immediately - sometimes you have to tell new players about the giant blue Submit Move button.

EDIT - or maybe immediately below the ones that say "My Move"

Oh, how about chess.com analysis for chess960 games?

Wishlist! :D I feel like it's Christmas morning :P

The local-time clock thing sounds amazing! :D

Also, can we get a summary of the team matches we are playing or waiting to start? That'll be awesome and it would avoid getting surprised because I forgot that I joined a match... :P

I'm almost certainly not the first to suggest it, but iPhone/iPod Touch app? Playing it via the web browser on there is hardly optimal.

It's in beta testing right now.  And it's brilliant.  :D

Instead of timing out, let the computer make a random move for you!

That would be funny!  Maybe you could choose what would happen to your opponent in your Online Chess Settings!

How about everyone has a Online Chess page, a My Home page, and a Chess960 page. That would be cool.

Also Vote Chess archive, and seperate Chess960 archive from correspondence.

Instead of, or in additon to, "smilies", emoticons could it not be possible to available Informant or NIC symbols?  I think this would be helpful for the chess discussions.

Are some of these not already available on the chess diagrams?  The set of symbols could probably be built out, but I think there's already some of this functionality available.

I agree.

This would be very helpful.

Just a suggestion:  how about Giveaway chess?

And giving away gift memberships for a month?  That would be useful, especially if you are giving them as prizes.

Thanks,

I do believe there's a full complement of testers assigned and that the size of the gang is now 'capped.'  But the short answer is 'ask Erik.'  :)

Anyone interested in iPhone-ware should consider joining this group (that's where many of the beta-testers were recruited).  (I've already sent you an invite, Uber!)

Cheers

You can't.  20 have been chosen  (hundreds applied).  So it's a month too late.  I was one of them!  Tongue out

In 960 Vote Chess, Team Members show a person's standard chess rating, instead of their 960 rating.
