Chess.com: Ground Zero of the Zombie Apocalypse

I'd been wondering for a while now what was going on; forum spamming without staff response, public votechess games finished for a week but nobody posting the new ones, volunteer moderators left to their own devices, fighting the spam and rampant troll threads with inadequate measures...

Then I remembered that chess.com is not far from some biotech companies, and I realized the truth:  the staff is gone, consumed in the initial outbreak of the inevitable zombie apocalypse we have all been dreading.

It's the only explanation that makes any sense...time to break out the survival gear...

I've got body armor, gas masks, extra ammo clips, cigarettes, and Recee Cups.

Does the staff operate from a central office?

Not most of them.  Most of their developers seem to be offshore.  Content contributors/managers/support also seem to be spread around.

The Chess.com home office is probably something like Stratton Oakmont circa 1993, with Erik as Jordan Belfort.
