Chess.com Membership Options Description Changes

"Dear Valued Chess.com Members,

Chess.com continues to respond to its members' needs and the changing market for chess tactics, lessons, and training.  Because platinum has been worth less than gold for nearly a year, now, and because gold and platinum have in the recent past changed positions quite frequently, Chess.com has decided to revert to a simpler, more elegant, and more intuitive naming scheme for membership options in line with our push to have Chess listed as a sport by the International Olympic Committee.  This will be done as follows:

-Diamond Memberships: this tier will now be renamed "Gold Memberships."  Gold members will have full access to all their existing benefits as diamond members, including unlimited video lessons, tactics, opening training, etc.

-Platinum Memberships: this tier of membership will now be renamed "Silver Memberships."  Members who until this time have had a Platinum membership will continue to keep all their existing benefits, including five lessons a day and unlimited tactical exercises.

-Gold Memberships: this tier will now be called "Bronze Memberships."  Bronze Members will continue to have all of their previously-held benefits as Gold memberships, including up to 25 tactics per day.

Chess.com members who have questions about the status of their membership options are encouraged to contact our dedicated Membership Help Desk.

We thank each one of you for making Chess.com the most interesting and fun online chess portal, and we look forward to continuing our relationships with each of you moving forward.

Happy New Year!"
