We made a pretty dramatic change to Chess.com today. We're now using a new service that is supposed to make everything faster, especially for non-US members.

The first few pages might load more slowly (as the site figures out where you are and gets some initial files), but should be zippy after that. Let us know what you think!

Dear Eric,

Yes, it became better. Right now I have to be at a hotel in Istanbul for a couple of days and the wireless network of the hotel did not allow opening the site and playing with our friends. Actually - at first it opened, then there was a remark of the provider that access is denied. Today - 01 Apr 2010 this problem did not appear.

Thank you and your team.

My best wishes - Rumen from Bulgaria

Thank you once again

Hi Erik: I use little chess.com, but I've noticed a huge speed improvement. Also I have changed my access. Now I go by http://secure.chess.com/login.html. Thank you very much for your effort.

It is very nice presentetion BUT since yesterdey the service is too slow and I can not meet with my opponent on time. Please, could you fix this little problem?

I can't really tell if the site is faster but I have noticed one thing, the Daily Puzzle doesn't accept any correct moves except the first one. Two puzzles now with same phenomenon: first correct move entered is accepted but then no others. Subsequent correct moves are rejected as 'incorrect'. When I click help, the move that I'm trying to make (correct move that was just rejected) is displayed, and so on for the rest of the puzzle. Using Firefox 3.6.2. Everything else on site that I've tried works like a charm.

Hi, here is what I have discovered so far, since the change: Looking on one of my friend's game on live chess. It suddenly stopped, the pieces didnt move, and the time was going back and forward. It was 2 min left one second and the next, it was 2.10 and the next time it was different time.

Regards

The problem I had, with the time of my opponent,  when he was disconnected his time would run down like it was supposed to. His time would come back as before the disconnect and I would be the one to lose my time.  This problem has been corrected now and I would like to thank you for all your help.

And I also discovered that the site was blank. I wrote the www.chess.com and then it didnt show the site, it was blank page.

Hej!

Ican't make any moves. The pieces are frozen, like as if I am on vocation! This just started today, I guess, as I was playing just a couple of days ago.

Can it be because of the new upgrades?

I hope it will be fixed.

Robert

I can't access the games in which it is my move and the games in which it is my opponent's move appear as my move with time counted against me.
