Bad Sportsmanship

Yeah, so I’ve got not one but two different current daily games where I’ve got the advantage and now they’ve said they’re on vacation for anywhere from one to three months. I’ve reported them. But nothing‘s happened. Do I need to resign and then report them again. I hate to resign because I’m winning. I’m not really sure how to handle stalling, and reporting them doesn’t seem to yield at anything.
And one of them has a really high rating. So I suspect that they have such a high rating because they never finish games that they’re not winning. Which is infuriating.

They can only stall for so long. When I go on vacation, it is because I am doing something preventing me from paying close attention to the games. I may be winning in one and slightly worse than the other. Just because you might be the one that has a better position does not automatically mean I am stalling.

The 1st chess lesson & best chess advice I ever got was always be a good sport. My favorite chess players are both great at chess & have excellent sportsmanship.
I can understand players up towards 1000 or below getting frustrated if there opponent resigns when they lose there queen, but you probably have sympathy as your opponents are probably angry and agitated with themselves, I cannot remember when I last blundered my queen but this is less likely the better you adapt in your play especially from 1500 onwards!?

Lots of players stall against me when they are in a bad position. Very annoying. I also get trash-talked, and people keep spamming draws when they're losing.

I personally cannot stand it when an opponent stalls or abandons a game once they realize they are beaten.

I sometimes resign but usually play until checkmate. Often enough I was able to get stalemate in a totally losing position where I only had my king which showed me that you shouldn't resign too quickly.
I have no problem letting my opponent checkmate me.
