so, i see this message from chess.com (which still tells me News only accepts messages from friends)

Community Defender
Your job is to defend the Chess.com community! Keep your finger on the pulse of our community and help identify and prevent potential abusers from bothering our awesome members. 

that set me thinking - a rare occurrence i assure you.  also i did some research.

i mean keeping my finger where it doesn't belong is right up my alley, and targeting potential abusers is what i was born to do.  but i'm still confused if i should sign up.  it never really ends well for defenders.

you don't see any of them smiling, do you?  unpaid underappreciated vigilantes who actually get shot at by the cops.  also the invitation comes with a reminder that i'm no friend and will never be a friend of chess.com.  so many unanswered questions remain like

while i could do technical development, architecture, management or roadmapping, been there done that in so many cross disciplinary areas.  what i wanted was for my inner self to shine through,  it might take some serious polishing but still.

unless by web development they meant

i wonder if general application meant i could become a general?  that would be something.  from a clueless yellow bunny, to an undead, to a president, to an autobunny and then to a general.  like general woundwort in watership down.
