Yes the algorithm must have muted me.

But you should read the community guidelines

I have no idea which guideline i did not follow...

And the context of using the word was not inappopriate/vulgar.....

In what context were you using "sh*t"?

I thought i made a blunder, and normally my mind went- 'oh sh*t! was that a blunder?', so i texted that to my opponent........ this was the context.

Also did you read the Community Guidelines ?

Only Titled players can have alt accounts: see https://support.chess.com/article/596-can-i-have-multiple-accounts

Please close one of them when you next log in, or I will make an assessment in the next 24 hours and choose one for you.

@david The article says that no one can have a alternate account so why titled players can have?

They are allowed to have one anonymous account so that their opponents can't find them online and study their repertoire.

rishabh11great

So, by the way the opponents can still study their reporteire by seeing their main acc or even seeing their OTB games which are easily available of any titled or 2000+ FIDE rated player. So, they get nothing by a anonymous acc.  @david I just want the answer that WHY?? Their is an exception for titled players.

If you think Titled players have special advantages, " Stop crying and try to be a Titled player".

I don't know that it's so much about opponents studying their play as it is about them being able to enjoy a degree of anonymity. It's just one of several incentives Chess.com provides to encourage titled players to play and participate here - clearly Chess.com feels that they elevate the level of competition enough that it's worth it.

I just realised, If alot of master players actually have 2 accounts then that kinda reduces the accuracy of the percentile stats and world rank for non titled players.

I never understood that  fear of having your "repertoire" studied either.

Everybody knows that studying your opponent's games as preparation for a tournament doesn't work, because they would obviously anticipate that and study superior lines or unorthodox counters.

it works, if you play something religiously. They might have a novelty on move 40-something, like @blueemu 's "Najdorf-Defense-Don't-try-this-at-home-kids" game. Except in blueemu's case he prepared himself.

In fact, I'm studying a hyper-aggressive line in the Slav (as white) to prepare to blow one of my OTB opponents off the board- I never play d4-c4, by the way. Just to beat them

Colby-Covington

Nice, do you play under FIDE?

I showed that game to Leela Online ( at https://leelanalysis.com/ ) and she thought it was pretty good.

Colby-Covington

Is that the game you showcased in our thread too? The OTB game from a national championship?

I remember that it was a Najdorf, yeah. You crushed a title player in that game right?

sndeww

Colby I think it was correspondence?

He wasn't titled AFAIK... he was only slightly higher rated than me, before the game (lower rated than me after the game grin.png ). But it was in a country vs country team match, yes.

Have you checked out that Leela Online site? The search depth is scary at times... I think I saw "47" at one point.

Colby-Covington

Hey emu, you know what I'd like to do?

I want to dedicate a section or even a completely new topic to your life as a chess player and the million interesting things you have done, with people asking a bunch of questions.

Would you be open to that?
