Very true Tactical, but also he fails to realize if he made it longer he would have played better too. Thats the same arguement Tom Brady could have used when he lost to eli manning 2 times in the super bowl, its a stupid irrelevant arguement.

Yes. The funny thing is that I don't usually notice it until the game is over, so my opponents are wasting their time.

i dont have time to watch for stupid messages anyway, they are just trying to distract you from a decent game, same with anyone asking for draws in lost games.
I was playing a guy from Italy and he played a move in a rapid game that I guess he thought was mate but I was defending the square and I asked if it was a mouse slip to give away the queen. He responded with profanities and "at least I don't live in America you loser!" then resigned lol

My opponent has gone past the usual level of just the game chat, and took it upon himself to DM me and called me a pathetic coward. I respect that level of persistence.

Trash talking could be funny but a lot of people are horrible at it. I get a trash talker once every 5 or 10 games, it’s quite often. Normally they‘ll say something when they’re down two or three pieces. “You are trash player” it’s really amusing lol. But I for one never trash talk, unless if the player is using extremely aggressive idiotic moves. Then I’ll give food for thought to maybe not to sacrifice 2 pieces in an opening.

I've had multiple National masters call me pathetic after the game. They all had their real names and picture on their accounts, i'd love to meet them over the board.

During a one hour game, my opponent asked me to hurry up and make my move, as he wanted to go to sleep. I suggested he resign if he was too tired to play. He replied that I should just hurry up. Three moves later, (10 mins) just before I check mated him, I messaged, "Get a good night."
I had a friendly conversation with a Brazilian mid game. A very pleasant fellow

I had a game where my opponent made an early Queen move. I attacked it, when he moved the Queen, I just kept attacking it. His comment was,
“most annoying person I have seen in days. Chase the Queen for three minutes, haha.”
When I checkmated him, I asked, “Is it funny now?”
I actually took the comment as a compliment. I have since disabled chat.

I just shut off the chat option, dont need to hear any more stupidity than what comes from my own mouth
