As long as you're still physically-functional (able to enjoy *all* the pleasures of life, heh heh 😜), then you're not truly old; oldER, maybe, but not OLD. 😁

As long as the future is more important and interesting to you than the past, you're OK. (73 in August)

I like how all the millennials talk about how technologically sophisticated they all are. I like to remind them that MY generation invented all of their toys. I tell them that they’re all OPERATORS while my generation consisted AND consists of INNOVATORS!

@Pegasu----make sure you tell that to the creator of this thread, @Thee_Ghostess_Lola, who, in another thread, was praising the Millenials to the heavens while putting down her own generation--our generation--and generally making a "donkey" of herself...she worships Millenials, wishes she was one, says untrue things about Generstion X, and is a TRAITOR to her own generation...!!!...

At 30 years old you are "officially" no longer young. At 60 years old you are "officially" a senior. And if you make it to 90 years old -- just break out the alcohol and solid inflammables and let the party begin!
What's not to like about aging? 30-60-90 are the only three numbers to be concerned about, as you continue to look forward that wild party at 90 -- that you may not reach, by some folks certainly will. So everyone, let's party hearty with them in mind.

Idk, we as humanity with our technolog and things, think that being older is good, and is not a problem. Our ancestors lived up to 30 year old, some lived up to 20, living up to 40 was a miracle. So people nowayads think they have all the time of the world to achieve whatever they want. If did not do this at 20, then I will do it at 50. I think real life progress should be between 10-30 years old, and thats it. So, yes, you are older- But lets ask what you did in your life, and if it is something important or not. It has to be important, above all, for you. Did you enjoyed your young years, you lived hard? and so on. Did you achieved somethign? you have kids, a familiy...etc.

Those lifespan statistics are skewed by past eras' high childhood fatality rates, and modern medicine's ability to keep the sick and aged live on with conditions that would have ben fatal a century or more in the past. Many people in ancient times lived to ripe old age. "Three score and ten" was considered a normal lifespan.

That is the point. High childhood and born, fatality rates. And even with that, ancient people, as Neandertals, commonly did not lived more than 30-40 years old. They were hunters, smart, rapid and strong. They did not care about living more, they just lived through days with the idea of surviving. Nowadays, people with technology, with opportunities, with not being killed by a cancer with 8 years old, have not found his identity with 45 years old.

When I was a child I had an inner ear infection that could not be cured with any drugs--surgery was required. Twenty years ago I had incurable bladder cancer that necessitated major surgery to cut out, I'll take modern longer lifespans, thank-you.
...to what ?...lol !!
