Why?

But being active on the site, playing games and being cordial will go a long way. It's not fast but you'll get friends.

The amount of friends is not what is important it is how genuine the friends are that a person has which is most desired.

Why ask a person you are playing...I think you should resign this game we can start a new one?

You would like to create a friend....?

Chess etiquette is acquired thru many games of playing very quality people who have taught me how to be polite and keep going even thou your opponent is in a losing position...

Have I ever won a game by total shock when my opponent hangs a piece...yes

I was down by 5 points now I'm even..shock

Be polite and let your opponent tell you I think it's over for me..thanks for playing the game

You may be a very good player but I would wager you are young...think of it this way..the world was watching Bobby Fischer and Boris Spassky in 1972 World Chess Championship...would that be brought up even thou the game is really over...make a comment after someone wins not before..only my thoughts on how to create friends..gl

Tell them you'll throw the game if they'll be your friend. Many will go for it.

Good one! But I don't want some weak player to boast that they beat me!

The key is to make them be your friends BEFORE you forfeit.

Then you refuse to forfeit, say: "true friends don't do what you want them to do, but  what is better to you"

Do you guys know why I created this forum thread? I'll tell you why:

I used to have an old account, like two years ago, but then I closed it! I opened this one on February 1, 2016. I used to have 6000+ friends on that old account, and I got like, um... 50 new friends everyday. I'm not going with the same pace on this account, so I wanted to know your honest opinions everyone!

get red letters by your name and suddenly all these people want to be your friend and hear how to improve in chess. Innocent

To be truly validated on these forums, first you need an enemy to argue with, otherwise you will remain a lightweight.

actually, if I went to some chess club or something, I think I'm capable of landing at least an NM Title!

The title says it all! Is there any way to get a lot of friends on chess.com really fast?

1.  These arent "friends"

2. They are people you dont know.
