I'd expect a chess.com 1400 CC to set up the pieces correctly and make mostly legal moves.
On the other hand I'd expect most games between 1400 USCFers to not include piece hangs to 1 or 2 movers. Most games.
Others will chime in and remind us that you can't compare ratings from different pools. True enough.
I would like to know how chess.com's rating compare to "official" ELO ratings. I started at 1200 and have risen a bit to almost 1400. But I understand that with the standard ELO ratings, people work their way up to 1200. Is that correct?
If I told a tournament player that I was a 1400, would it matter if that were a chess.com rating or a tournament ELO rating?
