Conditional moves on IOS app please. Just updated from an Android to ios. I miss them already.
OldGeezerJayRoy

Conditional Moves on Android app is now available. Thank you Chess.com for making it possible. Now I can do most of my daily chess right from my smartphone.

DocDoyle

Seems like this is a basic function that should be on the app in 2023

majkyman

Please implement this on ios and ipad too!

yechiel5000

How do you use conditniol?

OldGeezerJayRoy

@yechiel5000 It is pretty simple to do on any Android cellphone Chess.com app. Once you make a move you will have to be on that same game you just submitted a move then click on the "Options" in the lower left and find "Conditional Moves" to be able to add your future moves.

wow this thread has been around since 2012... TWELVE YEARS......we deserve an explanation!!

2024 here and still waiting for this basic update. Unbelievable.

dskunkler

Its crazy that its been 8 years and they haven't implemented this yet.

When I want to set up a conditional move on my smartphone, I use the web browser rather than than the app. It’s such a hardship, I can’t believe that chess.com hasn’t prioritised the implementation of this in the app so I don’t have to use that ultra simple workaround.

I love a good workaround. Your suggestion has been best practice for longer than a decade. Its not a workaround, its a bad M.O.

Is that anything like bad B.O. ? That would indeed be a serious problem needing a good workaround...

I don't understand what could possibly make this easy to do on android and the website, yet its apparently more difficult than the moon landing to get this same feature on iPhone

It took a long time before it was implemented on Android and became available recently.

Any code updates or potential updates get prioritized and done based on that. The feature for iOS is apparently behind other higher priority updates.
