There is more to it than a speed test would measure. The route the data has to take to get to and fro may have issues that are beyond your control. You could talk with your ISP to test the line and they may be able to help.

You might check out the following to minimize connection and lag issues, though if there's a problem between you and the site then there's not much that can be done.
