daily games

I play daily chess games regularly, and I’ve noticed an issue with players intentionally wasting time. Initially, my opponent was playing at a normal pace, but once they reached a losing position, they started taking nearly the full time allowed per move—often 2 to days. This has unnecessarily prolonged the game for over three weeks now, which I find unfair.

To prevent players from exploiting the clock like this, I think implementing a system that reduces increment time when a player consistently takes the maximum time per move. For example, if the game detects that a player has taken 2 days per move for three consecutive moves, the increment should decrease accordingly. This would discourage intentional wasting time while still allowing reasonable time for thought.

I hope the chess developers take this issue seriously and consider implementing a solution to improve the game experience.

Players are allowed to use the full amount of time for any and all moves. That's not going to be changed.
