Also I love that word asynchronous, the sound of it is very harmonious.
But don't forget Erik wants a name that the larger market of casual players are going to get. If they can't get 'Correspondence' they ain't going to get 'Asynchronous' (unless a description is added).
Agree syllables are '' nice '' & intelligent. To discard them is a '' dumb-down '' too far ?
Maybe the site could soak-test these ideas in the kid's section ??

Don't give staff bad ideas, they might go for it.. lol.
After all, they did endorse/award the winning video for the chess.com promotional video contest to the video that did contain porn. Funny video, yes.. Creative video, yes.. well produced video, yes.. appropriate for a family chess site with kids playing and set published rules for appropriate behavior, no.

I did say this earlier in one of the forums, forget which one, the other day I was trying to make a chess move on my iphone and could have sworn I had a pawn on the h file that had now seemingly vanished. My son was in the same room doing his homework. I said out loud "Where did that pawn go?!!!" He turned to me and said "What did you say?"
Had me in stitches.
Lol, it would have been more funny if he had said "Damn i thought i had hid it better"

Actually, I'm not surprised. I've seen quite a few tournaments drag on for over a year.. been in a couple myself.. the holdup usually being when players go on vacation... drags them right out..
