We're 42 pages and over 800 posts in.  If the right name hasn't come up by now it's not going to.

This reminds me of the KDF9 anecdote :

Legend has it that the KDF9 was developed as project KD9 (Kidsgrove Development 9) and that the 'F' in its designation was contributed by the then Chairman after a long and tedious discussion on what to name the machine at launch - "I don't care if you call it the .......".

    Thanks for the courtesy.

Chess is a game of testosterone...not courtesy. That would be mumblety pegs.

Besides, if you don't like what you've been reading...stop reading it.

This has been a courtesy advisement.

You've, obviously, never played mumblety peg.

  • #784

The game formerly known as chess.

After 10 threads in 5 days the OP finally has a live one!  You must be loving it.  More power to you.  Laughing

Perhaps work a bit on your three word sentences.  Just a thought.  Feel free to disregard.

Yeah I did.I have the knife scars to prove it. Believe me, you are more polite against someone with a knife rather than a pawn.

I'll bet a million bucks that Erik wishes he had never started this thread.

I thought you were saying that it didn't take any balls to play mumblety peg.

    My mistake.

  • #788

    I'm not a mormon.

  • #789

If you're going to go on an abusive tirade with the intent of getting your account closed, a thread started by the site's owner is a good place to do it.

  • #790

    Yeah.  He is a mormon.

  • #791

    Hahahaha.  Awesome.

    My mistake.

Kid stabbed me in the wrist. Needed stitches.

Another time, fell on my knife. Needed more stitches (on the palm).

Probably just good advice in general for people to to avoid any place you are.

I thought the tough guys were all from Ohio, anyway.

Actually, the solution to extended off-topic discussions by a few posters is _not_ for everyone else to "stop reading it."  Rather, it's for all of us to respect the "rules of the road."  One of the rules is that Forum Topics are designed for focused discussions on specific topics.

Erik started this Forum Topic to discuss an interesting and important topic, and I hate to see it hijacked.

If there's no one else out there who cares about this topic any longer, I'm fine with that -- I'll stop reading.  But if there are any others who wish to continue this conversation, please speak up!

    Thanks for listening, all.
