DGT Pegasus and 'en passant'

There are two ways to make the move on the board, only one of which Pegasus recognises currently. You can remove the captured piece then move your pawn, or the reverse. Whichever one you did, try the other one. I forget which works.
in pegasus, always remove the taken piece first and then move the capturing piece.
Never pick up the capturing piece, and then remove the captured piece.
I recently got a Pegasus board and it is really great to be able to play online with a real board , but there seems to be one flaw : During a game with the Pegasus board connected to chess.com I was not able to take a pawn 'en passant'. I had to switch to my phone, take the pawn and then switch back to the board. Is this a known problem or is there a particular procedure to take 'en passant' on the board.
