Both are considered the very best at what they do. Magnus is not famous for his personal life, neither is Elon. Personal attacks are pointless because EVERYONE has character flaws. No human is exempt. Elon Musk is famous for his innovation, his business success, and to a lesser degree what he has done to help humanity through his pusuits. He isn't famous for having human flaws, which we all do. Afterall, nobody is asking is Magnus the Robert Smith of chess.

So has Magnus taken chess to a new level, has he made hundreds of billions of dollars off of it, has Magnus's superior chess ability helped humanity? In other words, has Magnus changed the world?

Just because he's rich doesn't make him better person or better at what he does your missing the point of the question anyway its not an argument of who contributed more it's different things

Besides maybe Magnus isn't perfect but he doesn't have any erm issues at needing to be the best at everything and the only thing ur good at is making some business decisions that make say too much money

EVERYBODY has issues. The question isn't is Magnus the BigChessPlayer665 of chess. The question has nothing do to with personal character. I'm assuming the question is has Magnus fundamentally changed the game of chess like Elon has fundamentally changed the way tecnholgy helps people.

As I said before it's not a very good comparison because their respective fields are so different. I think a better question would be is Magnus the Bobby Fischer of chess. Or, is Elon Musk the Howard Hughes of the modern era. Both Magnus and Elon are incredible talents, at what they do, it's just that what they do don't really compare.

Its like saying is magnus the Albert Einstein of chess ? I disagree with the comparison because of what they do when they reach the top is so different one tries to manipulate others one doesn't (ex faking being good at a video game ) it's more how they are good rather than what they are good at

Is Magnus the Elon Musk of chess means has Magnus done something revolutionary. Has he transformed everyday life for most of humanity? Has he created or enhanced several innovative industries? Instead of trying to focus on minutia, look at the big picture. SpaceX, PayPal, Neuralink, Tesla, Open AI, Twitter, plus a few more. Has Magnus done anything even remotely as significant as Musk?

Ideas that applaud can come from people who are flawed.

It sounds like you are saying Magnus has a long way to go to reach that level of business acumen. Afterall, Elon IS the wealthiest human on planet earth, is he not?

When you say "Elon is good at nothing" you might as well say Magnus is good at nothing. It's such a blatantly subjective opinion it really doesn't hold any weight at all. It's fair to say Elon Musk revolutionized the electric car business. He revolutionized the space industry. It's also quite fair to say that Magnus, being the chess genius he is, has NOT done anything comparable.

What you said cannot be said enough. We ALL are flawed. It's very easy to point out others flaws while overlooking our own.

I am in no position to judge. But if I were, I would do it in a way that I think is fair. Literally saving human lives is a big deal. Magnus is a great chess player. Maybe the best ever. He's clever, smart, brilliant, witty, and creative. But does he rise to the level of what Elon Musk has accomplished? I would say most certainly not. They are just the best at what they do in a very different way. Not really a legitimate comparison.

I never said you were stupid — but reacting this defensively says a lot. If your conclusions are really based on knowledge and experience, they should be able to stand up to questions without you needing to lash out. Disagreement doesn’t mean disrespect, but dodging accountability behind vague appeals to 'experience' doesn’t strengthen your case either.

No we can 100% judge anyone who decides to mess with politics has the right to be judged by everyone who he is as a person it's how you hold these types of people accountable you don't do that and don't stop them or kick them out they get too power hungry just because he's saved a few people doesn't mean he hasn't hurt just se many people

yeah he is one of the most succesful and rich chess player and becoming world champion gives a lot of money and he has been wt five times! 5 x 1300000 million usd and other turnoments too.he has 50000000 usd

We live in a fallen world, and creating a meaningless argument solely for the purpose of defaming someone is worthless. I'm not "worshiping" anyone, as Christ always comes first. focusing only on the wrong in people will just create a endless loop, again back to my main point we are all flawed.
