Does division finishing position matter?

hi all With the league/divisions, as long as you're high enough to get promoted does it matter what your division position is? I just started back here recently and this week is the first week I've known about leagues so I'm in a wood division. I'm currently about 7th I think in my division, but I will promote if I finish in the top 20 so 7th is ok. but is there any difference if you finish 7th to if you finish in the top 3? or does it only matter later in higher divisions where fewer people can be promoted? my division seems fairly active so I don't think I have time to grind to get top 3 of my division, definitely not 1st place. just not sure whether it matters, thank you!

I’d say wood bronze all you have to do is get a place of like 10th and your fine. The other leagues are a different story though

Yea I've seen some of the higher ones you need to be top 5 or top 3 or even higher. Not sure I'd ever make that, I don't play enough!

Nope. Leagues are a waste of time. They are only there to try to encourage people to play more which should make more people be likely to pay for a membership.

 

Other than what is required to promote, position doesn't matter. Finishing first or finishing in the last available promotion position is the same. The difference comes down to the weekly reset time; if you're on the bottom, you could be surpassed in the final minutes
