Ever have one of those self destructive (to your ELO) days in Chess?

So, after the first game I played this morning I could tell my brain wasn't in 'chess mode'.  I was foggy (tired from a poor night's sleep from my 4 year old), still recovering from a stomach bug, and with no patience.  I actually played pretty well, but lost.  Still, I could tell that my brain wasn't going to follow that up with anything better.

So of course I played 4 more in rapid succession.  And I do mean rapid.  Even with a 15 | 10 format, I think I ended all of them above 15 minutes.  And of course, lost all 4.

Took a brief break, did some puzzles.  Played two more 15 | 10 games, won two and lost one.  Generally played better, but again felt like my brain was done.

So I started three daily games (3 day time intervals) to replace the ones that ended or were ending.  Instead of waiting til I had time to sit at my physical board to examine the position and try out some lines, each time an alert came in I played my move within a minute.

Now debating whether I should start another 15 | 10 when my brain is feeling even foggier than this morning...

Yes, but what does it matter, you lose your elo but not your skills. You'll climb back eventually
