Extremely low rated puzzles

Happy to see there's some discussion on this, I came to check after getting fed up of the changes. Steady +5-7s and then losing 25+ points on a 'low rated' puzzle with a 20% pass rate is ridiculous. It's not a low rated puzzle then..

I brought this up several times in emails and chats with staff, starting back in March, and it has not gotten any better. I've cancelled my membership over it. Sadly I payed for a year upfront, so they won't notice till February, but yeah. Done with this.

I just don’t know why things need to change when they already work so well.

Does anyone know if this will be fixed soon? I am getting also under 2000 puzzles...

Have you changed your Difficulty?

I have. I guess more advanced players should select tougher puzzles instead of easier ones.

Your puzzle rating is 400, it would be weird, if you got a 2000 rated puzzle, even on hard or extra hard, wouldn't it? Oh wait, thats exactly what you got..

I'm getting puzzles mostly between 500 - 1000 at a rating of 2600. At first I had higher rated puzzles, but then I had a bad sleepless day, played badly and then the difficulty of puzzles dropped way down and stayed there. Was just grinding it out for a couple of days, hopping something would give, but as nothing changed I started searching and found this thread.

It's indeed a new thing as Martin reported in post #24 in this thread.

Can I propose we return to the old puzzle systeem pre this patch?

There may be tweaks but ai would expect this to stick around. Change your Difficulty setting and it should be close to what it was before the setting options were added.

this is frustrating, I have been grinding for months to get to 3300 puzzle rating in the old system, solving very hard puzzles. now with the new system I see a lot of players solving 1000 rated puzzles and getting to 3000 rating without solving any hard puzzles. the ratings are now officially useless. it seems like chess.com are just trying to give users high puzzle rating to let them feel better and be happy with their non fair new high ratings. come on, this is a joke. so many people got from 2000 to 3000 in DAYS!!!!

WHY DO CUSTUM PUZZLE EVEN EXIST THEN??!! YOU HAVE TO BE SOLVING HARD PUZZLES AS YOUR RATING TO STAY IN YOUR RATING! THIS IS A JOKE! PLAYERS GOT FROM 2000 TO 3000+ PLUS IN DAYS! ONLY BY SOLVING 1000 RATED PUZZLES ON AVERAGE!! WTF!
