Fair Play Policy; Letting someone play on our account

Hi. Under Fair Play Policy, I've just realised that we aren't allowed to let someone play on our accounts. But does that mean co-op is also bannable? If so, why do so many chess.com content creators, even titled players, are allowed to do it?

I want to understand the policy and rules. My account is premium and has access to puzzles and analysis. I wanted to know if it's wrong or bannable to let my family member use this account to utilise those premium benefits.

So if I give a family member, who is actually worse in chess, to play so that they can learn, it's okay? As long as I'm supervising them? I want to help him learn, but I don't want to break any rules.

If rated games are not allowed, can he play my puzzle rushes?

HELL YES! THAT'S CHEATING! Pros aren't doing co-op, that's analysis and most of the time the people playing can't even hear the other person.

if someone does your premium unlimited lessons chess.com is not going to know and since you aren't hurting anyone else won't care.

Your question is somewhat specific so giving you a broad answer might not do. The best you can do is to contact support and ask them directly:

In my opinion and as already stated by others, it's fine as long as your family members just try to avail some of the benefits of the membership. They could do lessons, watch videos, utilise the explorer. Am a bit skeptical about puzzles though... Since that has a rating too.

Listen girl. You are new to the site, or perhaps some troll who got his or her account to closed. But whatever be the case, I suggest you to go through the community policies before engaging on threads.

I don't quite understand the definition of "play here". Could he do my puzzles? If no, what about utilizing lessons and the explorer? I have premium but rarely use this account because I'm too busy.

Thing is, I have paid for premium but I'm busy in real life so I don't want to waste paying twice when he can just use my account. I understand that actual games he shouldn't be allowed, but I thought the premium benefits like lessons and puzzles, he should be able to do.

No, account sharing is not allowed. You could consider transferring your premium membership to another family member by contacting support.
