The Queen's Gambit is a 7 episode TV miniseries, rather than a movie, but it's very good.

I started watching this thinking it was a trailer to the movie haha

There's also Computer Chess (2013) - A 1980s-set story centered around a man vs. machine chess tournament.

The Grass Arena (1992)... the true story of John Healy who discovered he was pretty good at chess while in prison. Doesn't seem available to watch though.
