Feature Request: Custom situations

It would be very nice to be able to set up a custom non-rated game for specific chess situations.

examine the following:

Perhaps you or the other player wants to know how they could have played out that last move differently? set up a clone of that last game from move #x and see how it would play out

You and an opponent want to see how a particular situation can be resolved, (like attempting a checkmate with 3 knights)

You want to play out a silly chess variant (all queens instead of pawns) because it would be fun to try.

etc.. etc..

now this is already being done with "custom openings" when you start a new game, and you aready have an editor to create examples online, so I'm thinking it wouldn't be much of a technical leap to connect the two.

you could even put a button on there to "restart" (and the guy on the other side can accept) to try again.

good suggestion!

This was originally suggested 5 years ago and a Staff Member said "Good Suggestion!", yet it has not been implemented.  My friends and I would like to set up custom opening sequences beyond what is offered in the "other opions" when creating a new game challenge.  Specifically, we have noticed that Staff sets up thematic tournaments with set openings that are not available in the "Create New Game" feature and we would like to be able to play these variants in order to learn and improve our progression from that specific opening.  Also, what the original poster said makes very good sense - we frequently would like to challenge each other with custom situations that could easily be crated with the game editor, if only there was a way to play these out between two members by pasting the pgn into the challenge window and then "create new game" with that PGN .

I'd like to see this feature also. Has it been implemented? I've looked around on the chess.com and cannot find it. Does anyone know if other chess web sites offer this feature?
