is it possible to have an on-line viewcam while at play besides chatting?

i searched, couldn't find -

i'd really like for the analysis board to be playable from old positions, kind of like a "what if i had done this" option, instead of only looking forward.  i've found myself in some interesting positions where i've wondered about after-the-fact.

if thats the case it would have no use for his current game....even if you find a good move it's over.... unless he's trying to analyse his previous game.

Whatever he's upto... good luck to him.... and regards to you silentfilmstar13. 

sure, it would have no value for my current game, it would just nice to analyse past games, or to see what could have developed when (not if) i see that i missed a better line.

Chessbase.com has got a 'Pre-move' Function, where you can "put in" moves in your opponent's time. Your moves then take effect the moment your opponent has moved, not waisting any of your own time. Especially usefull for bullet games.

I miss the possibility to annotate games. Enter variations & comments. Then it would be almost like a online chess database!

Btw: The new Game Explorer is GREAT! 

The new opening and game explorers are great -- I really like them.  A couple of thoughts on some additional stats I think would be helpful, particularly on the game explorer:

• An indication of the average rating for each colour in each of the lines shown on the right.
• I drilled down on one opening and arrived at a single game that had reached the position by transposition (i.e. a different move sequence than I'd entered), however the move sequence at the top of the page remained the same. I'm not sure what the best thing to do here is as you probably don't want to compromise the line the user entered, but it would be nice if there was an indication that the current position had been reached by transposition (and what sequence of moves led to it) when you get down to a single game and this is the case.

I, among others, have suggested the ability to annotate your game while in progress so that your notes are automatically contained within the PGN.

In addition to this, how about a shortcut link from within your annotated game to quickly post it to the forums without having to get the PGN and re-enter it into the game editor?

May we please have an 'All Posts' link on the forum page that lists the threads from all of the catergories?  Sometimes I just want to see the new stuff and don't want to go to each catergory seperately to find it.

Also, some good looking sets with photos of me as the pieces.  It'd do wonders for promoting this site to the female public.  I estimate a membership surge of approximately 3 million new users. 

I'm glad chess.com now allows you to review past games.  Added to this I would love to see:

1.  To see quick/blitz/long games as separate lists.

2.  To be able to sort by opponent so you can see how you did against specific individuals over time.

3.  MOST WANTED: to be able to open any finished game in "game explorer" so you can go back and analyze the impacts of alternative decisions.
