Finding the accts closed for Fair Play

I've been in good form lately (though still making plenty of mistakes) and pushing my all-time high, and then this morning had a message saying I had been rewarded with 22 extra points meaning I am now well into the 1900s when my all time high before last week was 1868. I had taken a long break from 10 minute chess as trying to push my rating was affecting my mental health. I came back to it just before Christmas so assumed it was one of those earlier games.

However, when I go through the archive to find cheaters, the only two matches I've found since the start of the year vs banned people, I actually won those matches. Is there an easier way to check? (or search by banned members).

Even though I don't feel I am as good as my rating suggests, I'm glad winning the game after the award "justified" the rating lol.

There is no easier way.

Many times I have wished for that info to be in a separate searchable field.

My rating is about 900. how do i determine which players have been banned?

I ask because there are lots of games when I play that chess.com scores me at 1200+ but lose to a player who was scored at 1700- which at my level is like a savant and I get so bummed out. Also, why are people cheating? Are people making money off their rating?

I just played with a cheater. This time it was obvious. Very fast moves in the middle game, extremely correct way in the end, 96% accuracy. I checked his profile: he won tens of games with such huge accuracy in a row! And the guy has rating 1000.

I agree that this would be a helpful option.

you can scroll through your games history and find your opponents who have been banned. But I don’t think that this says why they have been banned. It could be cheating or violation of abuse rules.

in the range of players that I play (2000-2400), my experience is that from about 1 in 50 to 1 in 100 of my opponents become banned. I write notes to myself when I think I am playing someone who uses an engine. I seem to be able to identify about half of them.

I think you won against the cheater...

Thepasswordis1234

after they had another loss and a draw, they went on an 8 win streak and got banned

The archive should show the closure reason but there's a bug impacting some closures where it doesn't show correctly
