It never made since to me why people jack their ratings to unnatural highs, next time you play you will lose it, or of course you could never play again, but what is the purpose of elo at that point? If you are at the level where you could maintain your rating if you got 100 Elo out of thin air, it will not be hard for you to get that rating, so why not do that? this is the most non-sensical thing I've heard all day.
