Well a couple of things happen when you add someone as a "friend". First you will be able to see when they are online and offline. When one of your friends is online they will show up in the "My Friends Online" section on your homepage. Also when you add someone as a friend they will automatically be added to your list of tracked players which means that you will be notified and be able to view new content that they post when they post it.

Singa

Hi, Chess friends everywhere,

I woke up this morning and the birds were singing on the tree-tops here at Braddell Hills. The sun was shining. Fleecy clouds were drifting by blowing by the breeze across the azure, blue skies and  I said to myself, "what a beautiful morning!"  Gordon Mcrae's baritone voice drifted into my ears, "Oh! what a beautiful morning. Oh! what a beautiful day. Oh! what a beautiful feeling. Everytyhing is going my way!  This is  a song from the Broadway musical "Oklahoma".  I started to reminisce about old times, about good friends who are no longer with us. Have you ever had a very good friend dying on you in the middle of a chess-game in a tournament?  I shall tell you more of this later. Meanwhile, could some "good-soul" please tell me how to use the tool-bars provided at the top of this blog, especially how to make use of the chessboard, provided to illustrate the games I played?
