It's pretty controversial, but I believe you are only allowed to think for up to half the total time of the game. Maybe you should play longer games? Blitz is great for experienced players to showcase their skills, but it can be poison for lower rated players. You just end up perfecting your mistakes. Not saying it isn't useful at times though; it's a great way to quickly become familiar with a new opening.
Game Abandoning Error

A very frustrating error keeps occurring. During some of my blitz games, I will be looking for a move and after a minute and a half of looking, the game is aborted and it says I have abandoned. I read that Chess.com does this because they may consider it that I am unnecessarily making my opponent wait, but maybe because I am a lower rated player, <1000, I do not see some of these "easy" moves. I have had more than ten games end this way and it is really difficult to deal with.
