I just did my second move when my opponent appeared to be „reconnecting“ which took a minute or so after which the game ended and I lost?! How is this possible?!

It might be a bug last time, my opponent’s clock was running and he was reconnecting , but suddenly my timer went down 9 min and I lost, HOW?!

It could also be that your connection was bad, because if your opponent was disconnected but reconnected while your connection was messed up, you will have been disconnected for too long. I’m not saying this is what happened but it is possible.

That indicates that you were disconnected from the live server process.
