Game Review: New Feature

Absolutely thrilled to find one of the most desired features in "Game Review" which I came across this evening.

Joined this site as an absolute noob more than an year back, been active for a couple of months and not having been able to improve as much as I expected, I stayed away. Started playing again from a couple of months availing lessons and puzzles.  Staying motivated isn't easy when you get stuck and when the improvement is a lot slower than the usual.

However, the NEW game review feature is gonna explain why a move was wrong and how a move is great/best/brilliant and what happens next and so on and so forth. This is MOST required by a newbie as it enables him/her to understand the approach/positional understanding/Though process among others.

The above feature has been sorely missing when I first joined this site which I feel, would help newbies immensely.  I'm definitely thrilled and happy!

That being said, the feature is limited to Diamond members alone. Gold and Platinum members are paid members too and with a few restrictions, this feature should have been extended to these members as well. 

Otherwise, all are forced to buy Diamond membership even if their overall requirement doesn't mandate it and may discourage those wanting to become paid members.

Request the site administration to consider it..

Move Explanations are only going to be a Diamond feature. I think others will get one a day maybe. That comment about everyone else is that the Game Review feature will be available to basic members as their once a day analysis soon. There's a comment by @erik in the announcement about it.

Not sure if thats the right place to post it. For me the layout on a mobile phone got much worse after the update. I dont see the whole board and the buttons for switching moves at the same time any more. This means I have to scroll up and down all the time to see the analisis. I hope it will be corrected... 

The Analysis tab places the move bar right below the board. Just not the Review tab.

True, I was exploring the new feature and assumed Its the same in all the tabs, my bad. Still I think it would be better to have it the same way in review.

I think it was a waste of resources.

It just says things like ‘This develops’ or ‘This attacks a piece.’

I wish it would explain complex middlegame positions, but alas… that’s nearly impossible. I wish they’d just fix the lag.

how do i get back to the game report feature?

i clicked on the game review feature. and i am in it.

Now how do i get back the old game report feature.

the game review feature showing the line automatically is to fast for me . It be much better if i could go through it at my own speed.

The old report feature is better for me. How do I get back to it the old report feature?

As a Gold member I want the old Report Feature back. And as a hobby player I certainly ain't gonna pay the Diamond Membership Rate$$$ to get a "Review Feature." From  what I can see the new Review feature is NOT worth the difference in $$$$ between Gold and Diamond membership. As another member put it so aptly: The new Review feature is "waste of resources."

It's kind of pointless.

Agree with others, seems worse then the old game review, unless I am missing something. Seems same as the key move feature, advancing you to you or your opponents next mistake.

I like Game Review.  Hope chess.com will do it for puzzles too.  Some really seem to have more than one equitable solution, and I don't understand why one is better than another.  Thanks, chess.com for improving the site even more.
