You lost because you were in hospital? And your biggest concern is that you lost a few points on chess dot com? Your proper dedicated man

would be nice to give back points if a player loses connection in a winning position

Maybe worth checking something out so it doesn't happen again.

didn't happen to me. Happened to my opponent. I felt bad i gained points.  I have lost connection in the past which is very strange because i still have internet connection where everything else works ? I have only ever lost connection on chess.com  which is a little odd

She makes a very valid point, though----there's nothing worse than losing a game due to a lost connection! Therefore Chess.cim should implement something to prevent an unfair loss (such as when the chess.com servers shut down for maintenance and all games in progress are Aborted)...maybe a "Disconnect-Abort" feature??

wizardKM... my thoughts exactly

If server maintenance happens players don't lose points, also when a server update is due it will say on live chess when it's happening also so your aware.

Is this topic still active. I was playing with a kid who totally dominated the game but abandoned when he was near victory (maybe because of respect). Is there a way I can give his points back.

No, that's not an option.
