GM Sam Shankland Joins Today's BIG Show! (Recap)

   Hello once again fellow TV Group fanatics and welcome to another recap of "The BIG Show" which aired at 9:30 AM Pacific and was open to Platinum/Diamond members. Danny had some interesting games today and one of them, to be more specific, was against GM Sam Shankland, who joined the 10-game simul today. His game will be 3rd in the recap.

   So let's get to the games in the order that they finished:

   Game #1 was against sebs42 in a very short C45 Scotch.

   Game #2 featured rowanjames as White in a C42 Petroff:

   Now we get to the game involving GM Sam Shankland, who had White in a B84 Sicilian Scheveningen 6.Be2 e6 and ended in a threefold repetition, but as you'll be able to see as you play through, Danny had his chances to get more.

   Game 4 saw axos as White holding Danny to the other draw of the day after starting things off in a E04 Open Catalan:

   Game 5 witnessed the only loss of the day and it came vs. SergeyKrish, also playing White in an A22 English Opening 1...e5 2.Nc3 Nf6:

   Congrats to SergeyKrish for the only win in today's simul event! 

   Game 6 was GeorgegroeG's turn, and yes, he had White as well in a E43 Nimzo-Indian: Rubinstein 4...b6:

   Game 7 featured Reaktor in a B01 Scandinavian, in what came to be one of the longest games of the simul.

   We then move onto chessfa1 in a B75 Sicilain Dragon: Yugoslav Attack in another long game. 62 move-sets to be more specific, before succumbing to a loss after a Queened b-pawn.

   KerrsGambit, in Game 9, was up against a B22 Sicilian Richter-Rauzer 7...a6 8.O-O-O h6 before falling to a checkmate by the Queen on e7 and Rook on d7:

   Game 10, in a E10 Blumenfeld Gambit was the opening of choice involving Andy_18:

   So there you have it today after a final score of 8/10 in a +7/=2/-1 performance. Thanks to GM Sam Shankland for surprising us all today and playing and congrats once again to SergeyKrish for getting the only win of the simul.
