He sure did lol, and I was one of his elite corp of targets I am happy to say. In those days it sure was fun explaining how he was a fraud before chess.com finally agreed.

Why are so much twenty year old chess players with so bad jobs>?@

Musikamole

Please continue creating silly threads, as mine are always about this dull board game called chess.

Born in 1982. Hmm? Ah yes...that's the year I graduated from college! We do have something in common. Does that count? Tongue out

Gee...do you think I could get away with starting this thread: Good looking chess girls? I don't think so.  Sealed

RetGuvvie98

nice thoughts, Chet.

a. mine too.

b. same as me but that was 16 years after graduating high school - I took a 8-year time-out for military service.   wow, more in common with a balding, middle aged guy in california than i thought.

c. likely not.  the PC crowd would hound you to death.

That is discrimination, if blunder can do it why can't Musikmole do it too ?

rubygabbi

It's this kind of thread that really improves my game. Keep 'em comin!

Dear Miss Blunder,

I am told that I am fairly good looking but please see my photograph (below) to ensure that I live up to your high standards.

I have plenty of money and a good job with adequate prospects in the future. Although I am presently married, I will soon be divorced with my soon-to-be ex-wife having custody of our six children (it was six, last time I counted). I'm a fairly decent chess player (see my profile) and look forward to many cosy nights in front of the fire playing chess, gazing into your sweet eyes and planning my next family.

The only slight problem that might queer the deal is my age. I'm a little older than 35, do you think you might be able to see past that?

Here's hoping that you choose me

All the best

Brad.

Many moons ago I remember being required to watch a VHS training video (way before DVD) regarding what not to do or say at the work place with the opposite sex. Well, shortly after this training session (it happens every year by law) most women at the work place got extremely depressed and went hunting for chocolate because they were being ignored.Women hate being ignored!

You see, women are hard wired for compliments regarding their appearance. Men don't go through ten different outfits before driving off to the next chess tournament. Women do. They care how they look and want to be appreciated. Men, for the most part, are content with being slobs. Well, we do clean up a bit before going out on a date, the occasional funeral...that's about it. Weddings don't take much effort if you own a tux and just throw it on as needed. They never need cleaning, unless you fall into the fruit punch.  Pretty simple when I think about it.

In my line of work as a teacher (PC to the max) it's real hard to even say "That's a beautiful outfit you are wearing"...with the response..."Why, thank you!" Now, that's far different from saying, "Hi Hottie!" Laughing

Blunders - tonydal is most wise. Men over 35 are more stable and make more money. It takes a long time for a little boy to turn into that big, strong, tender, caring, hunk of a man that women read about in romance novels. Smile Anyone under 35 is still a kid, imo. Wink

Ahh you are such a Gentleman Mr. Musikamole.
