I agree with Kasparov that Gukesh will struggle to retain the title he won, his performances in recent events are not too impressive, with poor performances probably due to expectations however when the title defence does appear round the corner and those candidate tournaments are arise he will need to be in a position of better performance than is presently evident as there is a new breed of chess animal coming through, the quality of play from the last W.C.C. was quite poor and there will need to be an improvement from Gukesh if he is to stand any chance?!
