Has the method for calculating ELO evolved over the past five years on Chess.com?

Hello everyone,

I recently found myself in a rather unusual situation, and I’d like to get your opinion.

While looking at the evolution of my ELO on Chess.com in rapid games, I realized that from 2018 to 2021, I played around 1,800 games. My ELO steadily increased from 700 to 1,100 over those years.

My problem is the following: I hardly played from the end of 2021 until two weeks ago. I recently got back into chess seriously, and I was given an ELO of around 650, but I’m struggling to get past 750. For almost two weeks, I’ve been playing about 10 games every day, but nothing seems to work.

I was wondering if any of you had experienced something similar. Has the rating system changed in recent years, or have I simply lost my former level ?

As far as I'm aware there have been no significant changes to the rating system

Pretty sure it’s actually shifted in the other direction, maybe you just got a bit rusty over the few years you haven’t been playing
