I remember when there were rapid fire conversations, on dozens of topics ,going on all day and night. I just looked at "Hot Topics" and the final one on page one had the most recent comment 117 minutes ago! I remember when it would have been 5 minutes ago. I think this has been caused by trolls over-indulging in the forums and discouraging the free exchange of ideas. What do you guys think?

It's always slower here in the summer, but there's no doubt that the second 'dark ages' has crept into the forums. Wit, cleverness, and originality has become rarer than usual while self-congratulating trolls have arisen from their shallow graves. And then there is a no-tolerance approach to politics in the forums which pretty much takes half the interesting threads away from Off Topic. We'll soon be condemned to "last person to post..." and puppy/kitty pictures...

So we're playing the blame game now....  Trolls, staff, Obama...? 

Have trolls destroyed the Forums? NO.

It is a hoax. Trolls do not live in caves - those are not REAL trolls.

They used to be unalive but they weren't buried deep enough so they made it out. I guess it's kind of like a survival story without the drama
