Turkish state-run TRT news is broadcasting the military’s statement.
“Turkish Armed Forces have completely taken over the administration of the country to reinstate constitutional order, human rights and freedoms, the rule of law and the general security that was damaged,” the military said in a statement. “All international agreements are still valid. We hope that all of our good relationships with all countries will continue.”

I don't think its that simple in a country that large.
It's always slower here in the summer, but there's no doubt that the second 'dark ages' has crept into the forums. Wit, cleverness, and originality has become rarer than usual while self-congratulating trolls have arisen from their shallow graves.
+1 I got muted for a day or two because one of these self-congratulatory trolls reported me twice for suggesting his and his ilk have some sort of psychological problem. In school the only way they'd get away with their behavior on here is if they were the biggest and nobody could beat them up.
The Turkish government has done nothing to promote stability or democracy over the last 5 years.
