Help: How to un-track a locked forum topic?

1. I read a topic, find it interesting
2. I track the topic. Love getting the alerts, and it taking me to "first new comment".
3. Topic is locked.

Expected results: I can un-track the topic but can't post additional stuff or modify what is there.

Actual results: I cannot un-track the topic.

But you also won't get anymore alerts about it either because it's locked and no one can add any comments to that forum.  So even though you cant un-track it you can't track it either.  It's a Mexican stand-off my friend.....

What is much more annoying is when you track a topic then the OP blocks you and you can't switch off tracking ... THAT is annoying

@knightspawn There is a quick link "topics I am tracking" which has cluttering potential. Other than that, I agree that it doesn't really matter.

Maybe Jay should add some new menu items:

Topics I was tracking but which have now been locked
Topics I receive alerts for but cannot reply to because the OP blocked me
Topics which were interesting originally but have now been highjacked
Topics which are bound to be locked soon so I'd better get out of while I still can

That might help keep things sorted.

Topics I probably should never have posted to in the first place

Or posts I should never have replied to

...or topics that have already been thoroughly explored, just not recently.

Oh no.  I can't post in this thread anymore.  And I tracked this topic too.  Now what do I do?
