  • We're a seasoned team currently working on launching a smart chess robot.Using robotic arm combined with AI technology, it can make moves automatically. It also features visual, auditory, and tactile interaction, along with teaching, practice, and playing functions.

  • Now the robot is still in the development stage and I'm gathering the features request. So I‘ve made a questionaire in google form, it involves a total of 14 questions and will take about 10 mins to complete.Your answer will help us create an unprecedented smart chess robot!

There's no need to bump. I've sought feedback from others on chess related projects and responses were very minimal.

There is also a Chess.com Developer Club you could join.

FYI, I've submitted responses for you.

I think the software and user experience are the most important. I think a robot to move the pieces is a gimmick. It sounds cool... but the delays and noise may limit it's use (for example... because of lag I don't think it would be practical for blitz or bullet... and there likely should be a bonus for rapid games.)

As I said in the questionaire, I think bot/engine play is the feature I would like the most. A robot is not necessary so you could do an MVP with software features first. I like "personalities" with different styles of play, levels and opening repertoires. +++ if I could create these custom personalities.

I'd like to be able to practice particular opens as well.

These are very interesting videos for Go and checkers.

Movement seems quick and swift. Maybe there isn't much of a delay, particularly if time controls are long.

What safety features would there be to prevent something like in this video, where a robot broke the finger of a 7 year old boy playing chess?

Could the player "game the system" by preventing the robot from completing their move in order to get more time or to run the computers time down?

You could put a happy face on the robot... or have a camera, mic and display to enable chat back and forth.

note: your videos appear to be shorts and these cannot be embedded. If you upload to Youtube as a video you can embed in messages.
