A chinese kid good at chess at math. Holy crap what a shocker. Here's my hot take - everyone sucks to compared people rated higher, 400 rated players suck compared to 800s, 1200s vs 1600s, and ultimately everyone sucks at chess unless they are a super GM or something. Just think about it, you'll get it
2000 is both good and bad.
It’s objectively good, because you need to put in a lot of effort to reach that level.
You can’t say it’s nothing, your past self would struggle to beat the player you’ve become.
But retrospectively, it can feel bad when you compare yourself to top players, because you see the gap between your level and the very best.
