So, I recently just played against two players, on blitz. When I checked the second player’s profile, their Chess960 was 1200 elo! They didn’t even play a single match! And for the first person, they hadn’t played any games in bullet, yet their elo was 1000! Can someone please explain to me how that is possible? Or are they just cheating?
I have never played rapid and 960 but chess.com shows ratings for both in my stats

When you open an account they ask what level you're at. If you say you're intermediate you start with a 1200 rating.
