Have you seen some of the structures, though? Kingside attack isn't the only thing about the King's indian. It's very positional in many of the lines, where black has to find good moves to keep his equality.

Maybe in the position above, black plays a5 with approximate equality.

If you don't know your sidelines well enough it is passive. For example this was a game vs a 1900 uscf about a year ago.

Of course it's not always passive like this if you know what you're doing, but I don't think a lot of people understand where he's coming from.

He didn't just say passive. He also said stale and boring. Even when Black is inaccurate like your game, it is still sharp. Black can be passive on the kingside in queenside attack lines, but it is still not boring.

A lot of people find closed positions boring and stale. For example:

someone may consider that to be boring. Someone may consider that to be exciting. I am the second person. Maybe he doesn't like certain lines that appear very often. It's not up to other people to judge someone else's tastes.
