How Are "Top Bloggers" Determined?

I have noticed that there are 25 or so"Top Bloggers" here at Chess.com that
are listed ahead of the other bloggers.
How are these people selected?  Are they hired by Chess.com?  Are they
voted as "Top Bloggers"?
Also, does this group change over time and how does that process work?

We have staff members who check blog content and add those who publish quality blog content as "trusted users" which brings their content to the top bloggers section.

Thanks for the reply Patzer24.

also, some blogs and bloggers generally get more page views, or "hits" than others, which makes them more valuable as a whole.  so, while the actual subject or content of one blog may be better written and more well thought out, if it doesn't get the hits, it doesn't get the cash.

I would like to be included among the top bloggers as my blog has more views than the last 2 of current top. It's unfair that I'm left out! Frown
