How can i improve my chess elo

at you level you need to get a hang of the basics, develop all your pieces and castle your king before attacking, rooks on the semi or open files. A major way to not lose games is to ask yourself, what is my opponent's threat? Follow these and you should be gaining more elo. Not guaranteed
The issue is none of your opponents will also know none of the basics ... Other then that it's more or less ok advice

The basics include getting all of your pieces out, castling your king and controlling the center. If you know the basics but your opponents don't know it, you will just have an easier game.

Keep playing and you'll start to recognize certain patterns over and over again.
For example, in this image, where do you think the black knight will try to move in the next turn?
Why?
How would you prevent that from happening?

Learn some basic agressive openings that makes your opponent resign and report you, examples are: ICBM Gambit, King Gambit, Wayward Queen Attack, London System, French Defence, Fried Liver Attack and etc.

Learn exactly how to think in the opening, middlegame and endgame — this is what I teach.
Always blunder-check your moves.
Solve tactics in the right way.
Analyze your games.
Study games of strong players.
Learn how to be more psychologically resilient.
Work on your time management skills.
Get a coach if you can.

Ignore your rating. It's supposed to be used for pairing opponents, not for vanity.
Focus on improving your play and your sight of the board, instead.
You are playing Rapid instead of Blitz. That's good. Rapid is for improving. Blitz is for fun, and for testing your skills. But you are playing too FAST. Use more time.
Use that extra time to watch the whole board, not just the spot where the action is heating up. You missed a free Rook in a recent game.
Personally (even tho my elo isn't that high), I do puzzles and try to learn just tactics. We are starting a chess club at school and to help prepare for it I am learning so openings to show some people (ex. Caro Kann, Scotch, Queen Gambit, etc.). My favorite opening as of now is the English and I highly recommend it!

No that just means they will confuse you and you'll blunder back
Sometimes it leads to a easier game but sometimes it doesn't

That's a possibility, maybe I don't know how beginner's brains work.
