How do you be a chess.com Staff?

I remember I once got an invitation to be a chess.com staff member. Back then My name was on my username and I didn't want more people to know my name. (I didn't know how to change my username back then) I got a different invite later, but I think it was programming and I barely know anything about programming, even now. So I turned it down.

Then I realized not all staff jobs are that hard. But I never got another invite even though I wanted to. So how do you get a simple chess.com job?

The site will occasionally send out site wide messages when they are hiring, usually for specific skill sets. That is what you were seeing, not a direct offer to be on staff.

There is a link at the bottom of the About page too, that is a survey you can fill out if you feel you might have a skill set the site needs. If they are hiring and your skill set matches, maybe you can get hired.
