What I’m doing recently to prepare:

1) Before a hyperbullet tournament, I sometimes pop in the Bird club to see some bird games forums.

2) Or I pick a Bird player to look at his games.

I just prep what openings I want to play and set my state of mind to the state I want it to be in.

The problem is despite my super excellent memory I only remember the first few moves of any openings. This is proof I’m not crazy enough about chess ☹️

I mean I've started dreaming about opening prep so is that a good sign or a bad one? I remember thinking in the shower and finding a line that actually got me a great position in a game against a friend, it's what I play against his English to date happy.png

the live chess UI is so cluttered tho. I use the newer "play" thing instead

Wdym cluttered everything is there, the play feature is overorganized into too many subcategories

I usually drink a cup of coffee with the moka pot https://www.coffee-statistics.com/best-moka-pot to play chess, but alcohol isn't a bad idea for someone. Could be helpful.
