Regarding the fifth point, I live under the assumption that refraining from resigning in "hopeless" positions is actually the cowardly thing to do.

no that is where they accuse you of having no respect for your opponent who failed to convert the win

Just don’t play

then how can you establish yourself as a coward?

You can, (Not possible in OTB but can be in online chess ) challenge some player for a game, when they come to live chess for your challenge....abort the game and don’t play...

excellent.  honestly hadn't thought of that.

Perpetual check is part of the game and not being a coward

really, there is no part of the game that could be considered cowardice?

It’s obvious to me, that some of you guys are just not suited to the game of chess , I recommend that you try a new game , like tiddlywinks for instance ! ✌️😎

We are an inclusive platform and welcome everybody.  However some of us do want to focus on becoming cowards. Think of it as a playing style.

That seems cowardly.

So put in 10000 hours into the following to become an expert

1. refuse rematch

2. flag your opponent

3. use perpetual check to force a draw when you're losing by material

4. force a stalemate or allowing a stalemate when you're losing by material

5. resign when your opponent is about to crush you

There's one other way to be a coward:

Act like @Colby-Covington

Perpetual check or forcing stalemate in a lost position is not at all cowardice, it's just a part of the game.

If you are winning, it is up to you to avoid to trash the win into the bin by falling into traps like them.

Or maybe even capturing a piece of yourd and not letting you win is cowardice?
